California and wines

The year is 1992. A small wine shop in San Francisco, California has opened a shop for the first time. The shop is called PlumpJack Wines and in the next 28 years will be transformed into a giant estate known as PlumpJack Estate Winery. The then Governor of California, Gavin Newsom and Gordon Getty, a renowned composer, opened the store with an aim to create a hospitable environment where people can learn about different types of wine and purchase them.

Zapping back to the present day, Aaron Miller, a renowned winemaker along with his team, is continuing the heritage of the estate by making wines which ooze elegance and have been subjected to critical acclaim. All of these cement their position as the best wine shop in California. In 2016, the winery was awarded 100 points by the Wine Advocate by Robert Parker for their 2013 PlumpJack Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Oakville. This was only the second time that a wine under screwcap closure bagged the award.

Aaron Miller claims that he and his team have put in blood, sweat and tears into their products and are extremely proud to share it with the rest of the world. “We are proud to be a part of your dinner, your wedding, your engagement, your experience,” the proud owner claims.
Tucked just below the foothills of Vaca Mountain Range, the 42-acre estate yields a diverse variety of soils that are capable of growing highly celebrated wines. As an exclusive member of this California wine shop, you’ll savour exclusive wines and make treasured memories.
